Welcome LAE Property Owners:
On behalf of the entire community, its Officers and Directors, we extend to you and your family a very warm welcome to Lake Ashuelot Estates.
Our Association is very active and for over 40 years we have worked hard to maintain an attractive quality of life within the community and protect the value of our collective property investments. The Association maintains approximately eleven miles of private roads, as well as a private beach, clubhouse, tennis/pickleball and basketball courts, and a marina that includes a boat mooring area (subject to space availability), canoe and kayak storage, and boat launch ramp. These amenities are for your use, along with our other dues paying property owners. Rules and regulations concerning the use of these amenities are strictly enforced for the benefit of all. We urge you to become familiar with them. The dam, located across the lake from our beach, is owned and operated by the Ashuelot Pond Dam Village District (APDVD), a municipal district only consisting of LAE.
Many activities are planned throughout the summer season. Each year, you will receive a listing of them. For your convenience, they are also posted on the website and bulletin board at the beach house. You and your guests are welcome at these activities.
Our Annual Meeting of the membership is held on the second Saturday of July and notices are sent to all members in June. This is an important event in that members have an opportunity to comment on Association affairs, to review and approve an operating budget for the following year, and to elect Officers and Directors who volunteer their time to manage the Association throughout the year. There are scheduled Board of Directors’ Meetings. There are various committee meetings as well. We encourage new members to become familiar with Association affairs and welcome you to take an active part by offering your interest and expertise to serve as an Officer, Director or committee member. Committees address issues such as lake water quality, dam operation, roads & grounds, budget & finance, legal, insurance, security, and recreational activities.
